I talk to a lot of women who really want to start their own business, but they just don’t know how. They don’t know where to start. Well, I’m about to break it down for you. Over the next several days, I’m going to explain, step by step, how to make your dream become a reality. There are 10 steps to getting your business up and running, and I’m going to tell you each one in detail. So stay with me!
Step One: Create Your VISION statement
No, that’s not a mistake. I don’t mean your mission statement. Nor do I mean anything like a business plan. Not yet. I mean that you need to stop and answer several key questions about yourself and the type of life you want to create for yourself, so that you will know what type of business you want to create. This is VERY important. This is the statement (which might turn into a dissertation!) of what type of entrepreneur you want to be, how starting this business fits into your life goals, figuring out what your life goals are and what type of business and business model you will need to achieve those life goals. If you don’t have clarity on your vision statement, you will likely create a business that could be in total conflict with what’s important to you and your values and desires. It happened to me, so I’m speaking from experience.
Are you with me? We’re gonna walk this thing out, so stick with me. Do you have a vision statement? What’s your vision for your business? Leave me a comment and let me know.
